주름 개선(콜라겐 생합성, MMP-1억제) Retinol is a fat-soluble vitamin A derivative that penetrates the stratum corneum and reaches the basal layer of the epidermis and superficial dermis. Inside keratinocytes, it is converted to retinoic acid, which binds to nuclear retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and retinoid X receptors (RXRs), regulating gene expression related to cell proliferation, differentiation, and collagen synthesis. Retinol stimulates keratinocyte proliferation, promoting epidermal thickening and enhancing barrier function. It reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), protects collagen from degradation by inhibiting matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), and stimulates new collagen production to improve skin firmness and elasticity. Retinol also accelerates exfoliation, promoting smoother skin texture and hormone-like regulation of skin renewal. Compared to prescription retinoids, retinol is less potent but still effective with less irritation. Clinical studies have shown improvements in fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin texture with retinol use over several weeks (추천 피부타입: 민감성 제외 모든 피부 타입)
