이 원료는 대장균을 발효하여 얻은 단일사슬 재조합 휴먼펩타이드이다. 출발유전자는 Protein lin-28 homolog A를 코딩하는 사람 유전자와 동일한 코드를 갖도록 합성된 것으로 그대로 사용하거나 생산숙주에 적합하게 개조된 것이다. 이것은 글라이코실화 및/또는 다이설파이드결합을 포함할 수 있는 최대 209개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있다. 그 단백질을 구성하는 아미노산의 종류는 표준아미노산이다.

sh-Polypeptide-97 is a single chain synthetic human peptide, produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is a synthesized copy of the human gene which codes for Protein lin-28 homolog A used as such or adapted to the production host. It contains a maximum of 209 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation. The protein consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
