Thiram is an organic disulfide that results from the formal oxidative dimerisation of N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamic acid.
Definition
Thiram is an organic disulfide that results from the formal oxidative dimerisation of N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamic acid. It is widely used as a fungicidal seed treatment. It has a role as an antibacterial drug, an antiseptic drug and an antifungal agrochemical. It contains a dimethyldithiocarbamate. It is functionally related to a dimethyldithiocarbamic acid.

Irritation and sensitisation studies
10 skin studies and 5 eye studies are on record.
The study conclusions largely agree (100%). These tests are on the raw material itself; irritation at the amount in a finished product is a different question.
