Haus Nowhere Dosan (formerly Haus Dosan): Gentle Monster, Tamburins and Nudake in one building

Right next to Dosan Park stands a five-story, board-formed concrete building known as Haus Nowhere Dosan. It used to be called simply "Haus Dosan," but once sister locations opened in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Seoul's Seongsu-dong and Bangkok, the Dosan branch was renamed to match the wider "Haus Nowhere" series. What makes the building interesting is that it holds three brands at once: eyewear label Gentle Monster, fragrance and skincare brand Tamburins, and the art-dessert brand Nudake.

The basement floor is Nudake's café and shop, selling sculptural cakes and pastries. The ground floor rotates as an exhibition and installation space, so the interior looks different almost every time you visit. Upper floors carry Gentle Monster's eyewear and Tamburins' fragrance and skincare lines. It reads less like a shopping trip and more like an art walk that happens to include three stores.

Across reviews and travel forums, visitors repeat a few things: the building itself is worth seeing even if you buy nothing, Nudake can have a queue even on weekdays, and Tamburins' fragrance counter has enough testers to make picking a scent easy. A recurring complaint is that Gentle Monster sunglasses aren't automatically cheaper than duty-free prices, and that some product descriptions only come in Korean.

Practical info: Address: 50, Apgujeong-ro 46-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (서울 강남구 압구정로46길 50) Nearest station: Apgujeong Rodeo Station (Suin-Bundang Line), Exit 5, about a 10-minute walk Hours: sources differ (one lists 11:00-21:00), so check the official Gentle Monster site or Instagram before you go for the current hours and any closed day Entry: free to browse; Nudake is a paid café

Question for readers: of the three brands under one roof, which would you go see first?
