Tamburins Hannam flagship: the fragrance store that plays with pumpkins and paper sculpture

Tamburins started as a nail and beauty brand before turning into one of Korea's most talked-about fragrance and skincare labels, and its Hannam-dong flagship is the fourth standalone store after Sinsa, Samcheong and Seongsu. It sits on the main stretch of Itaewon-ro, roughly between Itaewon and Hangangjin stations, so it's an easy stop if you're already walking that strip.

The ground floor is built around fragrance and body care: hand creams, body wash, hand soap, perfume candles, and a newer home-fragrance line with room sprays and diffusers in scents including MEOK, PINE NEST, PAPYRUS and MUM BUD. The second floor works more like a gallery, with rotating installations built around candles and diffusers — past setups have used oversized paper sculptures rather than a conventional retail display.

A travel blogger's write-up of the store describes a pumpkin-themed display and fabric-heavy interior at the time of the visit, and singles out the PINE NEST scent for its pine-and-eucalyptus note evoking a traditional Korean house; testing perfumes at the in-store sink is part of the draw. Since Tamburins changes its interior installations seasonally, expect a different look depending on when you go.
