Biblioteca Musical de Hyundai Card en Hannam-dong: cómo se entra realmente
Along Itaewon-ro, between Hannam-dong and Itaewon, Hyundai Card runs one of its themed "libraries": the Music Library, entirely devoted to vinyl. It's not a shop or a record bar, but a curated space run by the credit-card company as part of its network of cultural spaces across Seoul.
The ground floor is a public cafe, but the library itself, upstairs, has an unusual rule: only Hyundai Card members (age 19+) or DIVE app members can enter on their own, and even then only up to 8 visits a month. Members can bring up to 2 guests, also counted within that monthly cap, and ID is checked. Inside are roughly 10,000 vinyl records sorted by genre, including hard-to-find rarities, plus turntables where anyone admitted can request and play a record themselves.
Traveler reviews often say it's worth a stop just for the cafe downstairs and the space itself, even without membership; those who do get into the library praise the curation and the calm of listening on a sofa. They also flag the strict rules: no pets, no outside food, no professional cameras, no smoking anywhere in the building, and a cap of 30 people in the room at once.
Practical info: 246 Itaewon-ro, Yongsan-gu. Open 12:00–21:00 (as of September 2026), closed Mondays. The cafe needs no membership; the library does. There's no dedicated parking or valet service.
