Incheon Airport duty-free beauty: where to pick up what you pre-ordered
If you pre-ordered cosmetics or perfume from a Korean duty-free operator before your flight out of Incheon, this is the practical guide to actually collecting it: which pickup counter, on which floor, in which terminal, and what to expect once you're there. Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 have dedicated cosmetics and perfume duty-free areas, and the pickup process (called "인도장", inbound goods delivery counter) is the same idea in both.
In Terminal 1, pickup counters sit on the departures level (4F), with locations reported near gate 11 and near gate 46; there's also a counter in the separate Concourse (탑승동) on its 4F, near gate 119. In Terminal 2, the pickup counter is on 4F, opposite gate 252. Shilla Duty Free operates a cosmetics-and-perfume store in T2, and Shinsegae Duty Free runs stores in both T1 and T2. To use a counter: scan your passport at the kiosk at the entrance to get a number, wait for it to be called, then bring your exchange voucher, passport and boarding pass to the counter to collect your items. Pickup counters reportedly run 24 hours. The combined duty-free purchase allowance for returning travelers is USD 800.
Guides and traveler notes repeatedly flag that pickup queues can run long, especially close to departure time, so the advice is to build in an extra 1-2 hours before your flight rather than cutting it close. Incheon Airport has also rolled out a mobile queue-number service (via the Shilla Duty Free app) so you can see how many people are ahead of you before you even reach the counter. Some travelers say they now prefer buying directly at the airport's own departure-area duty-free shops instead of pre-ordering online, just to skip the pickup-counter step entirely.
Practical notes: pickup counters are located on the 4F departures level in both terminals (T1: near gates 11 and 46, plus the Concourse near gate 119; T2: opposite gate 252); bring passport, boarding pass and exchange voucher; arrive with buffer time before boarding, especially at busy hours.
Nearby: this pickup step happens right at your departure gate area, so it naturally combines with your regular security/immigration routine -- no separate trip needed.

Question: have you ever cut it too close picking up a pre-order and nearly missed the queue?
